Listing rules

To keep every giveaway safe, listings are checked instantly when you post, with no waiting for a manual review. Here is what you can give, what you can give with conditions, and what you cannot give.

✅ You can give

Furniture, appliances, baby and kids’ items (except formula), books, clothing, kitchenware, toys, pet supplies (such as cages, toys and litter trays) and anything else that is still useful and safe.

Describe the condition honestly, and make sure appliances work safely.

⚠️ Allowed with conditions: food

Including packaged food, pet food and pet treats. All of these must apply:

  • Unopened and in the original packaging
  • Within the use-by date (ideally at least one month left)
  • A photo showing the use-by date is included
  • Does not need to be chilled or frozen

Not allowed: homemade food, opened or repacked food, chilled or frozen food, and expired food.

Receivers should check the packaging and date when collecting. We cannot guarantee the condition or safety of any food.

❌ You cannot give

WeaponsA risk to personal safety and regulated by law.
Medicine and supplementsMedicine must be prescribed and used under professional guidance. We cannot check what supplements contain or how they were stored.
Tobacco and vapesHarmful to health, regulated by law, and could reach under-18s.
AlcoholWe cannot check that receivers are adults.
Live animalsAnimals are not items. To rehome a pet, please contact a recognised animal adoption group.
FireworksDangerous goods, strictly controlled in Hong Kong.
Adult itemsThe platform is open to everyone, including under-18s.
Baby formulaBaby food needs extra-high safety standards and problems can be serious.
Medical devices, illegal items, recalled or unsafe productsA health and safety risk, or regulated by law.

What if my listing is blocked by mistake?

The check looks for certain words, so it can occasionally get things wrong. For example, a wine glass is not alcohol. If you think this has happened, tap “I think this is a mistake” on the posting page and the item will go live once our team approves it.
